About National School Reform Faculty National School Reform Faculty® is your source for Critical Friends Group® trainings and protocols! The National School Reform Faculty is focused on adult learning in the service of school achievement. NSRF was formed in 1994 when the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University designed a different approach to professional development, one that would focus on the knowledge and abilities of the practitioners and on creating practices that actually improve student learning. This led to the development of protocols and activities that were taught to others through Critical Friends Group training. This rich history of effective collaboration between adult learners led us to develop Building Belonging in the Classroom Training, to extend that learning more directly into classrooms. At NAIS 2020, NSRF's Director, Michele Mattoon, leads a Master Class on Friday afternoon titled "Techniques for Building Belonging in the Classroom." Please register and join us! Attendees of the class will be eligible to enter to win a discounted five-day, specialized Building Belonging training to bring to their school! NSRF's Assistant Director, Luci McKean, will be leading a Pecha Kucha talk on Thursday titled "When 'Talking Behind our Backs' is Best: Removing Body Language Cues Strengthens Brainstorming/ Problem-solving." Stop by our Non-Profit table #15 at NAIS 2020 to gather more information regarding our protocols and trainings AND to enter to win free materials and even a free seat at one of our upcoming Open Trainings, valued at $850! Shift your school's culture positively, both in classrooms and through powerful professional learning communities!
