Tamara Reed Tran

Tamara (Tammy) Reed Tran currently serves as the Associate Vice President of Development at UCAN, one of Chicago's oldest, yet most innovative, social service organizations that help build strong youth and families through compassionate healing, education, and empowerment. Prior to this role, Tammy served in a fundraising capacity for The Family Institute at Northwestern University, the Dystonia Medical Foundation, Rush University Medical Center, and Volunteers of America of Illinois. Tammy also serves as Board Chair for Wisdom Knot and as the Fundraising & Marketing Chair for Just Roots. She has also served as the Chair for the Executive Women’s Committee of the Metropolitan Club, and while in that role, Tammy hosted a series of talks, American Women Galvanizing, designed to address the needs of women in the Chicagoland area. She has also, along with her husband, co-authored two children’s books for children aged 3-5, The Sun Is Out and A Birthday at the Zoo. Tammy received her bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with a double major in African American Studies and Communications.
