This comprehensive surgical skills course will focus on current controversies in knee ligament, meniscus and articular cartilage-related procedures. An all-star faculty will guide attendees through discussions on the latest clinical algorithms, backed by peer-reviewed publications, and cutting-edge surgical techniques. Additional learning elements include lectures by distinct expert faculty members, eight hours of hands-on cadaveric surgical labs, case-based panel discussions and pearls on how to avoid complications and ensure clinical success.

 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course the participant should be able to:

  1. Understand current advanced meniscus repair and transplantation strategies and techniques including controversial decision-making on when to repair or restore the meniscus.
  2.  Determine the appropriate indications and technique for patellofemoral procedures including MPFL, tubercle osteotomy, and trochleoplasty.
  3. Comprehend current controversies in primary and revision intra- and extra-articular ligament reconstruction including contemporary surgical techniques.
  4. Formulate appropriate treatment algorithms in the management of articular cartilage defects and pathology as well as to learn the latest surgical technique options available to address these problems.
