I'll be Speaking at the AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO Experience!

Hayley Born MD

#What? 3.0 Social Media in Otolaryngology: Creating Your Brand During the meeting of the Women in Otolaryngology Communications Committee in 2019, it became apparent that there's a large portion of the AAO-HNSF community who lack a basic understanding of social media networks and how they are used in professional life. The first iteration of this panel created a dynamic discussion surrounding creating and using social media accounts within our field. Last year, we examined pitfalls to avoid in professional social media, including legal pitfalls. This year, we plan to dive deeper into refining your online presence through a specific brand or community. This panel, moderated by a female fellow, will include panelists as follows: A young female academic facial plastic surgeon and social media influencer with over 22,000 Instagram followers A young pediatric otolaryngology faculty member in our field who has worked to establish a diverse, vibrant online community supporting Black Women in Otolaryngology A private practice physician who fell into social media stardom with his @drbooger Instagram
