The Blind Brook Club, located in Purchase, N.Y., is seeking to hire an assistant-in-training. Blind Brook Club opened for play in 1915 and was designed by Seth Raynor.

Initial Priorities:

  • Learn and understand the culture of Blind Brook including agronomic, daily operations and course maintenance practices
  • Develops familiarity with leadership team to assure quality standards are met
  • Actively participate in leadership team discussions, planning and team building.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of golf course maintenance experience; will consider those with transferrable skills from a related field or those with internship experiences.
  • Certificate, Associates or Bachelor’s degree in turfgrass science or agronomy related field.
  • Must obtain New York State Pesticide License within 90 days of hire
  • The right individual will carry high expectations for themselves and the golf course at all times. 
  • Ability to work 60-65 hours on average in season, 40-45 in the winter months.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience (DOE $60,000-$75,000 salary)
