I am a pediatric nurse with 25 years of practice experience which have informed my research focused on adolescents with severe obesity and their families and how they manage their health on a day to day basis. I am also deeply interested in the impact of weight stigma, health disparities, and the how the complexities of genetics, epigenetics and social determinants of health interact in affecting the overall health of adolescents and their families.
